Use the Event Info window to enter values for a Calendar Event attached to a Contact. You can also choose to link a Calendar Event to a Now Up-to-Date Calendar File.
Options
Toolbar:
Start/Stop timer button: Click to calculate as a timer or duration, depending on the selected Event type. Clicking this button twice puts the duration in the Description field.
Go to parent Contact button: Click to open the Detail View for this Contact.
Switch to Now Up-to-Date button: With a linked Event displayed, click this button to switch to Now Up-to-Date and open the Event Info window for the Event. Opens your specified Calendar File in Now Up-to-Date.
Link/unlink button: When you're using Now Contact and Now Up-to-Date together, clicking this button causes the Calendar Event to also appear in Now Up-to-Date. It appears in the Calendar File that you select in the Now Up-to-Date pane of the Preferences window. If you haven't selected a Calendar File yet, a dialog box opens where you locate and select one.
Public or Private button: Click to make the Event Public or Private.
Type pop-up menu: Choose the desired Event type. Your choices include:
• Call: A telephone call Event.
• Appointment: A date- and time-specific Event with a start time and an end time, which you set in one-minute increments.
• To-Do: Represents a task not yet completed. Because they aren't time-specific Events, To-Dos don't have start or end times.
• Undated: A To-Do with no specific deadline. It is not date-specific.
• Special: An Event that spans an entire day, rather than being attached to a specific time on that day.
• Holiday: A holiday Event.
Title field: Type the Event's title. The maximum is 31 characters.
Status pop-up menu: Choose from Not Done, In Progress, or Done. This is only active with Call or To-Do Events.
Date/Time Picker icon: Click to the right of When to quickly select dates and times for an Event. Your selections appear in the date and time fields. Opens the Date/Time Picker dialog box.
Date/time fields: Different options appear in the date and time fields, depending on the Event type. Tab through these fields and type information for the Event type. Or click the Date/Time Picker icon.
Timer field: Appears for Events with only a start time. This calculates when using the Start/stop timer button. Displays in this field and in the Description field.
Duration field: Appears for Events with both start and stop times. This calculates when using the Start/stop timer button. Displays in this field and in the Description field.
Description field: Type any description or note text for the Event here. You can also enter a Date/Time stamp in this field by choosing Date/Time stamp from the Contact menu.
